Travel grants

Literary institutions, universities and publishers can apply for subsidies towards the travel costs of authors taking part in literary programmes and/or promotional activities in connection with translated works.

Writer-in-residence

The Foundation also organises writer-in-residence programmes in which an author lectures at a foreign university for a certain period. Travel and accommodation expenses (including grants) incurred by the writer-in-residence are subsidised. Currently the NLPVF funds programmes in London, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Ann Arbor and Paramaribo.
