Draaisma misses Aventis Prize

‘Why Life Speeds Up As You Get Older’, the English version of Waarom het leven sneller gaat als je ouder wordt by Douwe Draaisma was one of the six titles nominated for the Aventis Prize for Science Books. The main award went to Philip Ball for his book ‘Critical Mass’. As a nominee, Draaisma received a thousand pounds sterling. The English translation was realized by Arnold J. Pomerans, who died a month ago, and his wife Erica.
