Brockway workshop 2005

In addition to the Brockway Prize, a translation workshop lasting several days will be organized for international translators of poetry. The first workshop will be held in 2005 and they will subsequently take place every two years. The Brockway Workshop 2005 is devoted to the translation into English of the poetry of Gerrit Kouwenaar, and will be held in the Translators’ House in Amsterdam from Wednesday 15 to Friday 17 June, and in Rotterdam on Monday 20 June. A presentation of the results of the workshop will take place at 4 p.m. on Monday 20 June, during the Poetry in the Afternoon session at the 36th Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam.
