Franco Paris honorary member of KANTL

The Italian translator Franco Paris has been made an honorary foreign member of the Koninklijke Academie voor Nederlandse Taal- en Letterkunde (Royal Academy of Dutch Language and Literature). With this appointment, the Academy wishes to emphasize the significance of literary translators. Paris replaces the recently deceased South African poet Elisabeth Eybers, who had been an honorary member since 1973.
