Record broken again

The record has been broken for the fourth year in a row: in 2004 the Nederlands Literair Productie- en Vertalingenfonds honoured 168 requests for translation subsidies (in 2003 this was 157, and in 2002, 149). In total, a sum of € 475,772 was pledged in translation subsidies in 2004. Figures indicate that this upward trend, which started at the Frankfurter Buchmesse in 1993, is showing no sign of waning. The 2004 annual report of the NLPVF is available in PDF form on the website of the Foundation.
