Mulisch krijgt Nonino Prize 2007

Harry Mulisch krijgt op 27 januari de Internationale Nonino-prijs uitgereikt. De jury bestaande uit twaalf personen uit het Italiaanse culturele leven, waaronder schrijver Claudio Magris en regisseur Ermanno Olmi, roemde Mulisch voor het laten samensmelten van ‘macrokosmos en microkosmos’: ‘Without forgetting his telling the horror of the absolute evil of the century that has just gone by, in the works of Harry Mulisch we discover the admirable fusion between macrocosm and microcosm, a changing drawing up that reveals mysterious worlds, hidden to us, real alchemic works; a pleasure that transforms the paradox into lightness.’

De prijs - een kunstwerk en een geldbedrag - werd in 1977 in het leven geroepen door de Italiaanse grappaproducent Nonino. De prijs wordt overhandigd door V.S. Naipaul In het rijtje eerdere winnaars van deze prijs staan namen als Hugo Claus, John Banville en Tomas Tranströmer.
