Charles den Tex wins Golden Noose

For De macht van meneer Miller (The Power of Mister Miller), Charles den Tex has been awarded the Gouden Strop (‘Golden Noose’), the prize for the best Dutch crime novel.

In this book, Den Tex introduces a communications consultant who witnesses a murder. This Michael Bellicher uncovers a worldwide conspiracy to replace the knowledge stored in our computers with a new virtual reality. The jury praised the ‘rare combination of an impeccable style, empathy with the risks the main character undergoes, the tension, and despite everything, the undiminished capacity of the hero to place things in perspective’. After Schijn van Kans (‘Chance in Hell’) in 2002, this is the second time that Den Tex has won this prize. More information: www.bulkboek.net/
