The Foundation has a resource centre which includes a library of Dutch language literature in translation. Lists of translations in each language, and of translators, are available on request. All current information sources and reference works may be consulted by translators, and others with a professional interest in Dutch-language literature, by prior arrangement.
Shortly after its founding in 1990, the NLPVF started with the creation of a reliable overview of translations of Dutch literature. Five years later this list had grown into a Word Perfect document describing 2,100 titles – much too large to edit or search. The data were then put into a Freebase-database, which was used until the beginning of 2005 when the data was transferred to a different structure. The database contains now more than 10,000 titles, and it is not only an important source of information for staff of the Foundation but for everyone involved with Dutch literature.
