7 Dutch writers in New York

Seven authors from the Netherlands are participating in this year’s PEN World Voices Festival (April 24-29, 2007). Adriaan van Dis, Arnon Grunberg, Isabel Hoving, Moses Isegawa, Arthur Japin, Geert Mak and Margriet de Moor will be taking part in readings, discussions and panel talks with their colleagues from around the world, speaking their minds on the ‘Home and Away’ theme.

A special booklet has been made presenting short pieces by the authors which will take you to seventeenth century Amsterdam, to a village in Uganda, to the Dutch countryside during the disastrous flooding of 1953, to the prison of Guantanamo Bay today.
