Van der Hoogt Award for Micha Hamel

De Lucy B. and C.W. van der Hoogt Award 2005 has been conferred upon Micha Hamel for his collection of poetry Alle enen opgeteld (‘Every One Counted’, 2004). The Award is an annual incentive for prose or poetry, alternately.

The jury praised Hamel for his ‘own voice’ and his ‘imaginative comparisons and playful metaphors, which aim at evoking the reader’s laughter’.
