Piper publishes Hirsi Ali in Turkish

Besides the German edition of Ich klage an (I Accuse) van Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the German publisher Piper has also published 5000 copies of the book in Turkish. In her book, the Dutch politician appeals to Muslim women to liberate themselves from male repression.

This German edition is a translation by Marlene Müller-Haas and Thomas Hauth of a selection of essays that appeared in De zoontjesfabriek (The Son Factory) dating from 2002, De maagdenkooi (The Virgins Cage), 2004, and the film Submission. The compilation contains the scenario for the film Submission I and two interviews with the author (by Arjan Visser and Colet van de Ven). The Turkish edition will initially only be distributed in Germany. The translator of the Turkish addition makes use of a pseudonym.
