The list of books that are in the running for the AKO Literature Prize has been announced: De engelenmaker (‘Angelmaker’) by Stefan Brijs (Atlas), De bekoring (‘The Enchantment’) by Hans Münstermann (Nieuw Amsterdam), Hoe ik mijn horloge stuksloeg (‘How I Crushed My Watch’) by Joris Note (De Bezige Bij), Stemmen op schrift (‘Voices on Paper’) by Frits van Oostrom (Bert Bakker), De helaasheid der dingen (‘The Misfortunates’) by Dimitri Verhulst (Contact), and Art. 285b by Christiaan Weijts (De Arbeiderspers). The winner will be announced on 10 November.
